Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – October 2022Chayil Information Technologies achieved national recognition after being named the 2022 PNG SME of the Year – 2nd Runner-Up, placing among the top-performing small and medium enterprises in Papua New Guinea.The prestigious award was presented by the Minister for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Henry Amuli, during the national PNG SME Awards ceremony, which celebrated excellence in entrepreneurship, innovation, and business leadership across the country.After first winning the Digital Start-Up Business of the Year 2022 category, Chayil Information Technologies advanced to compete for the overall PNG SME of the Year title. From the winners of 20 different award categories, the company was selected as the 2nd Runner-Up overall, placing it among the top three SMEs in Papua New Guinea.Managing Director Shane Chinau accepted the Award of Excellence on behalf of Chayil Information Technologies during the official awards presentation.The recognition highlighted the company's achievements in developing innovative ICT solutions that support education, business, and digital transformation throughout Papua New Guinea. Since its establishment, Chayil Information Technologies has continued to deliver locally developed technology solutions, including offline e-library systems, school management platforms, enterprise software, and digital services that have positively impacted communities nationwide.Speaking after receiving the award, Managing Director Shane Chinau thanked the organisers, judges, and supporters of the company.
