🌱 Laying the Foundation (2015 – 2016)

Chayil Information Technology’s journey began turning vision into reality in 2015 with its first pilot e-library at Lae Secondary School.

The installation supported 106 computers and reached more than 2,000 students, proving that offline digital learning was possible in PNG.By 2016, Chayil expanded into new provinces:

• Morobe Province – Lae Secondary, Coronation College
• NCD – Shalom Baptist Christian Academy
• Milne Bay – Alotau Primary & KB Primary
• Hela (Tari-Pori) – two installations funded by Hon. James Marape

A key partnership with UNICEF enabled 20 more installations nationwide.📊 Impact by end of 2016

• Schools reached: 8 + 20 UNICEF
• Estimated students impacted: ~15,000

🌐 Scaling Nationally (2017 – 2018)

Between 2017–2018, Chayil expanded to multiple provinces:

• Ware Primary (Milne Bay)
• Hoskins Secondary (West New Britain)
• Grace Memorial Secondary (Morobe)
• Madang Teachers & Technical Colleges
• Butibam Village, Igam Barracks, Lae District Office

In 2017, Chayil also completed its first international project in Fiji, showing that a PNG SME could go beyond national borders.By 2018, Chayil secured official e-library authorization and its first government contracts, rolling out installations in Markham Valley, Busu Secondary, and Wasu Secondary.📊 Impact by end of 2018

🧭 Steady Growth & Pandemic Pause (2019 – 2020)

In 2019, Chayil installed an e-library at Kerema Secondary School (Gulf Province), reaching 8 provinces in total.The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 slowed installations but became a period of strategic refinement, strengthening systems for the next growth phase.📊 Impact by end of 2020

🌄 Strategic Expansion & Recognition (2021 – 2023)

After the pandemic, Chayil accelerated its growth. New installations included:

• Gulf – Kikori Secondary
• Morobe – Menyamya Secondary

In 2022, Chayil was named Runner-Up at the PNG SME Awards, recognizing its impact in ICT for education.By 2023, it submitted a major proposal to roll out e-libraries to 50 schools in Morobe Province, positioning itself for provincial-scale programs.📊 Impact by end of 2023
